Going away for the weekend is always a good idea. If you are looking to spend three days in touch with nature, thermal water, and its benefits, then it is time to pack your bag. I decided to jump on my car and to drive all the way to Grotta Giusti, where this enchanting resort golf & spa was waiting for me. My room overlooks the park and it is provided with a thermal bathtub; the silence and the peace of this marvelous hotel are the main ingredients of my new adventure.
Grotta Giusti is an enchanting oasis made of bricks, arches, as well as of fresh flowers that inebriate the atmosphere with such a delicate and sweet scent. This resort golf & spa is located in the heart of Tuscany, and it calls the attention of visitors coming from all over the world. It offers delicious and traditional Tuscan cuisine; a peaceful and quiet environment surrounded by the colors of nature, a millennial thermal cave, a Spa, as well as a feeling of magnificence that can be achieved only through such a well balanced mix of elements.
Interiors are decorated with refined tapestry; floral compositions make the halls as welcoming as a number of hugs scattered throughout the structure. Live music fills the rooms as soon as the sun sets, warming up the hearts of those who enjoy some relaxing time at Grotta Giusti. Relax represents a key element in this environment.
The mental and physical wellbeing is at the core of the structure, which offers a Spa providing different kinds of treatments, two thermal swimming pools where one can enjoy the benefits of thermal water, as well as the Grotta Giusti – a millennial thermal cave where to enjoy a relaxing experience through spa diving and spa floating.
During your Spa Diving you will need to wear scuba tanks in order to have the opportunity to live a unique experience in the cave. I have personally experienced Spa Floating (you can read all about it here!). This program – which has been developed by psychologists and experts of body physiology – is divided into tree different steps. Participants – who are assisted by qualified instructors – start by practicing some breathing relaxing techniques that have been inspired by yoga and bio-energy. Following that, participants learn how to float naturally on the surface of the underground lake where the water temperature and the thermal steam can help induce a deep sense of wellbeing. In the third phase of the program, participants finally immerse in the warm waters of the hot spring – by using a snorkel – practicing breathing techniques and using the absence of gravity. Each participant has the opportunity to find their own inner balance within a context characterized by deep emotive energy. More over, perspiration in the water helps bringing about deep relaxation, which ultimately leads to optimum mental-physical wellness.
This dreamy experience is followed by delicious food. The menu offers lots of dishes that respect the culinary tradition of the region, bringing on the table a number of innovative proposals that reflect the needs of each single customer.
