My second day in LA has started with a delicious continental breakfast at The London West Hollywood before heading to the Paramount Pictures Studious (do you read my articles here?!?*).
Paramount Pictures Studios are not just part of the history of the American cinema, but they represent an active player within this industry. They feature a number of production studios and settings used for movies, talk shows, and TV series production.
Do you remember Forrest Gump’s bench? You can find it here.
Or what about New York’s streets and corners? You can also find them here.
This “big small” world is really incredible. It is so perfect in its beginnings, and so glossy and balanced in its reality. Every little detail is extremely well cured; you can walk across the streets of NY and reach trains that will never leave their station. Some windows have different shapes in order to give a stronger sense of depth when shooting a scene. Here water is mixed with honey in order to shoot rainy scenes. You can find the 22 stars and Oscars that have been awarded to the production company over the years. You can feel the American pride of giving birth to such a high quality product; it is not a coincidence that actors from all over the world dream about working here. You can find TV series settings; just to give you an example, I have been walking in a street that will be featured in a Glee episodes. I have been looking around and I had fun finding spotlights placed on rooftops.
It is a unique and magical place. You should definitely visit it if you are curios and passionate about the movie industry.
Stay tuned!
