During my wonderful holiday in Malta I am spending my time between crystalline waters and tons of history scattered all over the place; I really can’t complain about it. Today I am going to talk about a real jewel, a small fishing village located in the Southern side of Malta: Marsaxlokk.
I hope that the images below manage to show the beauty of this enchanting fishing village, known as one of the most picturesque locations along the Maltese coast. Fish is fresh and abundant, and checking the fish market can be an interesting experience. Here you can literally find everything, from rockfish to oily fish and baby sharks. This village is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing lunch in one of the many restaurants located along the coast.
The port is full of colorful boats that call the attention of every tourist (including myself, of course). Boats are decorated with the traditional Eyes of Osiris, which dates back to Phoenicians days. These colorful decorations turn these wooden boats into real jewels scattered all over such a crystalline sea.
Absolutely magnificent!!
