After a five-hour train ride here I am walking around the streets of Salerno. This is my first time here and I couldn’t wait to arrive. I have always heard some amazing things about this city, but I have never managed to come and see it with my eyes. Until one day I decided to treat myself to three days discovering this magic city lulled by the sea.

Salerno is an interesting city featuring a beautiful pedestrian zone; it is perfect to walk around in order to discover its shops and eating local delicacies. Besides being a city full of history and monuments that are worth a visit – such as the Cathedral, the Minerva’s Garden, its old town, the park and the Arechi Castle – Salerno is a lively and dynamic place full of bars and new openings. A place where modernity melts with history. It is easy to find modern sea view restaurants under old porticos
